Obtaining Logs

In case there is something wrong with the driver, please install DebugEnhancer.kext and run the following command in Terminal:

sudo dmesg | grep IntelFirmware

Identifying Issues

  1. Make sure the System performed a cold boot during startup. Incompatible versions of firmware will remain in the device if a warm reboot is performed.

  2. Use Bootloader logs and kextstat to make sure IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext (and BluetoothFixup for macOS Monterey and newer) are loaded properly.

  3. Make sure the Bluetooth device shows up in About This Mac → System Report → USB as Bluetooth HCI. If not, proper USB Mapping is required.
